On the day I met my soon to be mother-in-law, she told me that when she went to be with Jesus she wanted no tears shed for her.  That she understood her loved ones would hurt because of their loss, but that she wanted them to be happy for her, for she was going to be the happiest she had ever been.

In her honor I am grateful she is in no pain and the happiest she has ever been.  But she is right, for those she left behind, the hurt is quite great.  I am thankful that God is blessing her right now, and she chose to share those words with me.

Blessings to the Shirley Sheridan Family

We will miss Shirley so much. We will miss seeing her in her chair looking out of the window here on BHR, her friendly wave, her peek out the door many mornings and afternoons. We missed her this past year when she would go to see her brother "Bear". Now we just have to pretend that she has decided to stay there forever. Shirley was a true Christian, she read her Bible every day, loved her church, loved her family and friends. We are sure that God has a special place for Shirley and has her already working to help him spread his word and his love. "Peace Shirley!"

Scott Weishaar Proud to Know Love July 26, 2011

1 Corinthians 13

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails.

Shirley Sheridan lived these words for all to see.  Being her son-in-law I'm proud to have the honor to have been given love by one who knew what it truly meant.  If I can do a fraction as well, I'll be a success.  To all, lets honor her by being like her, in this, the most important of ways.  Love never fails, loving you all at this most difficult of times.

Caroline Elliott In Memory of Shirley Sheridan July 26, 2011

"God looked around his garden and saw an empty space,
He then took a look around the earth and saw your Mother's face.
He put his arms around her and lifted her to rest,
God's garden must be beautiful, cause He only takes the best.
